Essay
This is a paper that I had written back in January. It made me take 3 different documentaries and compare them, as well as relate them to a general thesis. We had to prove our claims and back it up with supporting details. This assignment was important because I had really enjoyed the topic; it was about human kindness and how we've lost a sense of purpose and direction. I've learned that it's okay to write outside of the box, that we don't have to restrict ourselves to only learning what is taught. We can explore ideas that actually interest us and deal with real life issues.

Questions & Notes
These are some notes that we took in class about what we felt while reading passages from the classroom books. It forces us to ask ourselves what we are disturbed of, as well as what we enjoy. We had to pick something from the book that stood out to us and give a reason as to why it popped. I thought it was important because it really put emphasis on self-reflection and how it's important to know yourself and be comfortable with it. I learned that English doesn't have to just be about learning the semantics; we can explore our opinions and apply it to the assignments.
